Firefly
is a funky, diva house band based in San Francisco, California.
Inspired by the energetic funk of the late 70's and early 80's,
Firefly is a unique blend of funk, rock and soul, with a splash
of diva-house thrown in for good measure.
Krystle
Jones (vocals) comes from a suburb of Detroit
where her father owned a disco in the late 70's. Having music
as a constant in her life, she made her way to San Francisco
and has performed with several bands. Working with the SF Funk
All-Stars, she's shared the stage with members of Sly and The
Family Stone, Fred Wesley and Cecil "Peanut" Daniels.

In
the early 90's Dave Janusko
(guitar, dj, synth) co-wrote the Counting Crows hit 'round here,
winning a BMI Pop Music Award in 1996. During the late 90's
he was the guitarist for the industrial band My Life With The
Thrill Kill Kult. Having spent the past year playing in the
SF dance club scene with his live instrumental breakbeat trio
The Diamond Galaxy, Dave brings layers of electronic flavors
to the Firefly sound.
